I recently caught up with Jay Flashgordon who is one busy guy! Not only is Jay involved with the Tasmanian Road Runners who were featured in a previous article he has also started custom apparel company Bolt & Run.
If you have been admiring the Tasmanian Road Runners running singlets, Bolt & Run were responsible for those.
How long has Bolt & Run been in operation?
Bolt & Run Co. has been in operation for about 6 months. We only had our public launch recently but there was a fair bit of time spent behind the scenes ensuring that we had access to top quality gear that could easily be customised to suit the needs of local sporting teams and businesses.
What made you start Bolt & Run?
We found that there isn’t really a one-stop shop in Tasmania that provides a wide range of quality sport-specific gear as well as casual apparel. Brand awareness has never been more important, particularly in the health and fitness industry. Bolt & Run Co. pride itself in providing top-quality merchandise as well as promotional items such as bumper stickers, arm-bands and membership cards.
What makes Bolt & Run unique?
We’re unique in that we don’t only provide a wide range of gear, we also have no minimum order quantity on clothing and no set-up fees. We love the idea of being able to provide small social teams with customised apparel as well as sporting clubs that boast well over 100 members. If a group enters a fun run and only want a few tops made, they shouldn’t have to order more than they need. Or even if you just want a running singlet with a picture of your cat on it – we can do that too! (We have done this!).
What’s your number 1 health & fitness tip?
When it comes to being active – find something that you enjoy. There are so many different ways to be active. If you find something you love doing, it will never feel like a chore.
And whatever it is you decide to do, we’ll be able to kit you out!
Be sure to say hi to Jay at the expo and see what he can do for you or your club.
